Safety & community guidelines
Yoyosup News is a general-audience product for understanding daily attention and discussion. We moderate user comments on topic pages. Third-party headlines (Google, X, Polymarket, etc.) are linked from other sites and are not rewritten by us.
What we don’t allow in comments
- Sexual content involving minors — zero tolerance; blocked and not stored as public content.
- Graphic sexual content — not for a general news discussion space.
- Credible threats, glorified gore, or instructions to harm.
- Hate targeting protected groups used as attacks, not news discussion.
- Doxxing — posting private personal data to harass.
- Spam / scams / malware.
How filtering works
We use a standards-based automated check (OpenAI Moderations API when configured) with categories used widely across the industry (sexual, sexual/minors, violence, hate, self-harm, etc.), plus a small local safety net if the API is unavailable.
- Block — comment is rejected (e.g. sexual/minors, severe self-harm intent).
- Hold — comment is saved but not shown until reviewed (e.g. high violence/sexual/hate scores).
- Publish — appears on the topic thread.
Reporting
Use Report on any comment. Repeated reports may auto-hide a comment pending review. For urgent illegal content involving children, contact local law enforcement / NCMEC as appropriate; we will cooperate with lawful requests.
Age
This service is intended for a general audience (roughly 13+). Comments should stay suitable for a broad public.
